Amazon’s Kindle First Program

Amazon Prime subscriber?

Kindle owner?

if you answered “yes” to both questions, are you taking advantage of Amazon’s Kindle First program?

When it comes to reading, I’m not fussy. I alternate between analog *wink* and digital books. And thanks to this great program, my Kindle has been getting quite a workout.

Book mail is the BEST mail! I don’t know about you, but three of my favorite words are advance reading copy. And whether it’s delivered to my mailbox or my Kindle, there’s nothing quite like the thrill and privilege of reading a book before its official publication date. With Kindle First, I’m able to read titles before their release into the wild and I gain access to authors I might not have discovered otherwise.

Each month, several new titles by Amazon Publishing authors are chosen by Amazon Publishing editors from Kindle’s most popular genres. Prime members can select one book for free, and the book becomes part of your permanent Kindle library.

This month, I chose A Criminal Defense by William L. Myers Jr.

To give you a better idea of the range of titles offered, my past selections have included The Mutual Admiration Society: A Novel by Lesley Kagen, Who We Were Before by Leah Mercer, and We’re All Damaged by Matthew Norman.

As you can see, if you answered “yes” to the questions above and are not taking advantage of Kindle First, you’re missing out on early access to some great titles.

If you are taking advantage of this perk, what authors and titles have you discovered? I’m always on the hunt for the next great read!

Until next time, be kind to yourself. And each other.

Weekly Wrap Up

Seven things that moved me, grooved me, or improved me.

ONE: An important read. “20 Years Ago, I Accidentally Struck and Killed a Cyclist.”

TWO: The Happy Movie looks pretty incredible. Must watch soon.

THREE: What Happens When Bookstore Employees Get Bored? This.

FOUR: HAPPY DANCE. My favorite comedy in the history of ever Schitt’s Creek was renewed for Season 4.

FIVE: Thanks to a most eloquent review by Bill Gates, I’ve added When Breath Becomes Air to my must-read list.

SIX: I’d tell you how many times I’ve watched this video, but I’ve lost count. “4-year-old girl swept off her feet by fierce Ohio winds.”

SEVEN: This book has received so much positive buzz, I couldn’t DL it fast enough when I saw the Kindle version on sale for $3.99. Not sure how long it will be on sale for. Have you read The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle?

Until next time, be kind to yourself. And each other.
